I am thrilled to present my latest large-scale painting, Garden of Fire and Ice, a 36 x 48 x 2″ acrylic work on gallery-wrapped canvas. With its painted edges, this piece requires no framing, allowing the art itself to shine as a statement in any space.
This work features one of my favorite, timeless color pairings: rich, deep peacock blues and vibrant oranges. The blue evokes a sense of calm and warmth—much like the comforting hug of a cozy, familiar space. Layers of orange blooms, kissed with subtle shades of aqua, bring a dynamic energy to the composition, creating a beautiful contrast that feels alive yet soothing.
The large chrysanthemums stand in elegant hues of soft beige, white, and gold, lending a touch of natural grace and light. One of my favorite details is the way I’ve hinted at branches, leaves, and flowers with delicate variations in value.
